My mother and I finally got to have lunch here for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. We made lunch reservations at 12:45pm and was immediately welcomed with a warm smile. We heard good things about their pasta and pizza so we ordered (1) Margherita pizza with pepperoni, (1) 1/2 order of Fresco Verde Pasta, (1) 1/2 order of Bolognese and a side of scallops. It was amazing! Mom's Fresco Verde was so light and garlicky. The spinach added freshes to the dish and was full of flavor! You need to get it with seared scallops! My Bolognese pasta was had perfectly bouncy noodles but was mediocre. Unfortunately it lacked salt or spice. Even a tad more cheese would've helped it. The pizza was so good! It's a thin crust pizza and it wasn't oily at all. The pepperoni added to the Margherita pizza. Overall, we enjoyed dining here and will back very very soon.

I was staying in Kona and I drove one hour to here, was super worth it! Service was great and amazing fresh pasta. The potato leek soup was the soup of the day and was very flavorful! Definitely think the drive is worth it!

Went for a drive up the Hamakua Coast Easter Sunday. We stopped by Dom de Luca's. A beautiful Italian restaurant hidden in the KTA shopping center. Nicely decorated with a full bar. Amazing selection of spirits 12 year old Scotch and Cognac as well as an excellent selection of wine and champagne. We had the Greco pizza and a glass of champagne Our food was outstanding in both taste and presentation. Big Mahalo's to Katie, Jessie and Noe for excellent service and great conversation. Highly recommend if your in Waimea check out Dom de Luca's

Enjoyed an absolutely perfect 4 course meal at Dom De Luca! Began my culinary experience with a cup of their soup du jour, a potato leek that was just lovely! Then on to a wonderful caprese salad with local tomatoes and a heavenly balsamic drizzle. For my main I delighted in a couple slices of my Caprino e Fico personal pizza, which was perfectly crafted from house made dough and topped with goat cheese, fig, and arugula..sensational! I already new I needed to save room for their Panna Cotta and I’m so glad I did! I can’t express just how smooth and creamy and light and fluffy and wonderful! I may have shed a tear! Everything was just absolutely delicious! To top it all off, the atmosphere was lovely with magnificent fine art all around! I cannot wait to return to Dom De Luca!! Mahalo Nui!!

We hadn’t been here in a long time and really enjoyed our meal! There was a bit of a wait but our server was great! The bruschetta is delicious. We had the seafood pizza and tried the Alfredo and scampi as well as the wine flight. They were gracious enough to give us a side of the balsamic reduction sauce which was bomb drizzled on the pizza. All the seafood was well cooked especially the scallops. We’ve been to Milan and Venice and the food reminds me of the good memories we had in Italy.

Don De Luca's is hands down the best Italian restaurant on the Big Island. The service is wonderful, the food is tasty and comes to two portion sizes (half and full), and they, of course, have a bar service. The Chicken Marsala was amazing—the chicken was cooked to perfection. The soup of the day (creamed spinach) was nice, but could have had a stronger flavor to it. The brown Sunday comes with your choice of ice cream, and sure hits the sport!

By far the best meal during our entire trip to Hawaii AND the absolute best server! Would like to come back to see the beautiful smile behind the mask. Five people, two different salads, six different entrees, four different desserts and nice wine list. They make their own pasta - everything was outstanding! When was the last time that happened? Having the option of half or full orders was a huge plus, as the choices were difficult. Half orders or Pasta Carbonara and Chicken Marsala pictured. Garlic bread with all entrees too. This was also the only restaurant we have been able to get a reservation at to date during our trip. It was 30 minutes from where we were staying but well worth it! Try it if you are in the area!
